News March 2006 Mesilla Reduces Water Pressure For years the Mesilla water system’s pressure reducing valve (PRV) had been failing. The valve was not operating properly and consequently the pressure throughout town was climbing. Pressure had peaked at 100 psi Two weeks ago the town replaced the valve and we have reduced our pressure to a more normal rage of 75 psi. Residents should be able to notice a difference in pressure.
